I had a hard time doing 1/1s for a long time I just didn't have the confidence in myself to start selling them because I could always see little flaws with them. There are areas where I overstitched something or I back tacked and created a little nest or the biggest one as I was learning I didn't know how to properly do something and I winged it myself. I've gotten a lot of feedback from people over the years of doing 1/1s and I got this message from this guy Dante out in Europe that really changed my perspective on all of it. He said that the flaws are what made it me and they were his favorite part. I was so in my head about making and becoming a better designer that I completely stripped the human aspect out of the clothes I make, I am not a robot I am one guy in a warehouse in Anaheim making jackets and thats all I want to be and each product is the best one I can make. I am starting to embrace that more. It also made me think about all the things I love, I love the clothes my friends make they're not perfect they are just them in fabric form, I have some friends that are always beating themselves up over flaws that I love about them and I don't get it. I'm starting to think I love flaws.
